Postal Course: Advanced Jolly Phonics

(Course Ref: AJP)

Summary

What does the course cover?

Each pack covers a particular sound, showing how it can be made by using different combinations of letters. For example, the sound 'ie' (as in pie; pronounced 'eye') may also be written as 'igh' (as in 'sight'); 'y' (as in 'cry') or i_e (as in 'bike' - 'magic e' option). The 12 packs cover a total of 25 graphemes (ways of writing sounds). The child learns to recognise the sounds and to use them in context when they are reading and spelling.
